Depending on what you mean by 2nd tier, you could probably do it. There are tons of money managers up here in Boston, so your chances go up. You'll probably end up with a less well known firm(i.e. you're most likely not going to walk up and run the Magellan or MFSMIG funds) and you'll have to work your ass off to get in the door, but it can be done. Look for smaller private managers: D.L. Babson, M.A. Weatherbie etc. Best of luck. |

Thanks for the advice/info. Aside from the obvious advantages of networking (im in atlanta now, looking to start in Boston), is there a particular route you could suggest taking to get there?
ie-Boston herald ads, recruiter, shotgun resumes accross the industry?? Thanks again and in advance.
