I am graduating from a 2nd tier school this summer with an MBA in finance (3.8 GPA)and taking the CFA level 1 mid-summer. My experience has been secs ops with nasd 7. Looking to move to Boston to get in IM. At what level of position should i be seeking (salary ballpark) and how would you suggest going about it (headhunter? resume to companies?) Thanks for info. |

Sorry, your chances, even with a CFA and MBA are extremely slim. Your past work experience will prevent and current market conditions will put a major damper on your getting any position in IM as far as analysis goes.
