Let me start by saying in my prior post I wasn't trying to make a general judgment on whether people should go to Fisher or not. There's a place for everybody. But anybody with a username like "Schwab4Life" should think twice. To give an analogy, a Schwabby is like your average Navy guy where Fisher sales people are like Navy Seals or other special forces. Coming from Schwab, one would likely find himself at the bottom of the pack with a bruised ego (like a Navy guy might feel around a group of Navy Seals). Somebody who goes by "Schwab4Life" likely doesn't have an elitist mentality and would have a hard time adjusting. Many have tried, many have failed. So, "AppleSauce12", you wonder what it takes to succeed at Fisher? I can tell you these guys are crushers. If you're soft, you'll get squashed. Many people come in, having been top producers in their former position, only to find themselves at the back of the pack. In reality, you'll still make decent money but you'll need to get over your ego. Many can't deal with the pride part and are happier at the front of the pack someplace else -- even if it means making less money. In fact, two of my former buddies from Texas are currently looking to go back to Fisher. They're finally ready to eat their ego -- even if it means being in the second or third quartile. So, again, I'm not here to tell you whether Fisher is good or bad. You just need to have the right attitude. |

Where to begin? Well, the fact that you assume i work for Schwab and what my qualifications are by my screen name immediately discredits you as a source if accurate or intelligent information is the most obvious point. Let me clue you in: I don??t work for Schwab. See, when people are looking for new employment, they don't want their current or potential employer knowing who is in the process of exploring other opportunities or researching a firm. Keep this in mind as you look to escape the mailroom. Rather, the screen name stems from my admiration of Chuck as a CEO and the 200% ROR I've realized in the stock since his return.
Of equal comedy is the insight you have on your "2 former buddies who are willing to let go of the pride and looking to return to Fisher" comment. I'm sure they felt the need to get the approval from someone as insightful and enlightened as yourself.
If you are in, fact, an employee of Fisher then the one valid point you make is the elitist mentality those working there seem to have. Again, allow me to clue you in: unless you are Ken himself, a member of his Investment Council, an Analyst or an RVP, you have zero cause to take pride in what this firm has accomplished. None whatsoever.
Remember to look both ways before crossing the street you dope.
