Here are a few:
1. Product mgt/sales support
2. Compliance
3. Asset Mgt, working with PM (e.g. derivatives, analytics for PM)
I'd rank #3 as best, then #1, then #2. Same with pay. Closer to the money (either sales or asset mgt is better). Avoid compliance or "oversight" roles. |

Thanks for the tips.
Any ideas of what sort of timeframes, projects, or other activities would give a portfolio analyst the edge to get closer to asset mngt related work?
