i'm pretty sure they are legit, i think its a prop shop. They were going to merge with Breakwater Capital last year but the deal fell through. could be more of a trading position. if its set up anything like breakwater (on the FI and energy side anyways) there is opportunity to move up quickly.
buy side jobs are few and far between - you might want to cast a wider net and talk to some sell side shops as well.
