Message: I am a junior in college interested in a career in investment management. I have a pretty good resume so far (worked for RBS in London last summer, president of finance club, 3.9 GPA), but I don't go to an Ivy league school. I am thinkng about taking an internship with Vanguard this summer. Can anyone offer any advice on if this would be a good company to start a career with? I heard that their ACE (investment analysis) program in Valley Forge offers sponsorship for the CFA, starts at over $50k, and only requires a 40 hour work week. Would this be a better route than trying to get into asset management at an investment bank at NY? Thanks in advance.
