How difficult is it to get to 20M under managment in your first year? Is that a realistic goal? seems like 100 200k accounts is reasonable? 2 accounts every week?
I would assume that people mostly get their initial client base with cold calls and seminars? And then once you meet the minimum AUM requirment you could branch out into areas that take more time (like working with business and higher asset level accounts... |

Harder to do than it sounds. On paper it easy to figure out how much in assets you are going to bring in. What is tough is actually bringing it in. They are telling the newbies here that they need to be proactively contacting ppl and asking for their business for 7 hours a day. That is a lot of cold calling. How many phone calls of strangers do you take when you are at work?
