In Reply To: The end of the year is coming up and the time for salary/bonus negotiations is approaching. I'm having difficulty determining what a fair salary would be, as my responsibilities vary greatly and I don't exactly fit into a well-defined "job bucket." Here are my stats: 26 yrs old, 3yrs experience Buy-side trader - domestic fixed income Money market mutual fund manager Fixed income analyst (I know, I'm a jack of all trades) Promoted to VP last year "Senior Investment Professional" according to company website Level III CFA candidate Northeast US (where cost of living index=1) 1999 Bonus $12.5k, 2000 salary $50k Any insight would me much appreciated, as I am having difficulty finding any other helpful resources, and no one else at my firm does (or ever has done) what I do. I thank you in advance for your comments...
Message: I forgot to add that I also *help* the head of fixed income manage some of the larger funds. We have a little over $4bn in traditional fixed income assets under management. Lastly, this is one of those firms where the PMs do their own trading.
