I'm current an IB analyst in a mid-market firm looking to go into IM.
Saw this an open position in a private bank of a leading Wall Street Bank )(eg citigroup, GS, JPM):
Portfolio Analyst:
As part of the Investment Counseling team, you will support them by analyzing and constructing medium-term investment portfolios; as well as keeping track of model portfolios and product lists. You will be challenged to carry out quantitative analysis of clients?? portfolio holdings. You will also help to prepare client review reports.
Any ideas on:
a) What sort of work would someone in this position be doing
b) What's the prospects of moving into IM at Templeton etc. from such a position?
