Is the CFA designation useful for someone who plans to be a real estate investor? I'm thinking of getting it, spending a few years in real estate investment management and then taking off on my own - maybe with a partner or two. I'm trying to figure out what type of education would be most useful. I think that a M.S. in Real Estate (NYU, MIT, etc) and a CFA would give me a pretty solid foundation. Any thoughts?
