i actually work in the industry, and you obviously dont understand it. if it was commoditised prices would already have comedown. just look at the low cost option, the investible indices, the performance is rubbish. institutional fees (over $50m account) are in the region of 85bps a year, sometimes with a performance fee of 5 or 10%, depending on account size, and frankly there is no utility in picking a low price manager, you pick the manager you are most comfortable with, even if there is some fee difference. thats all i am saying on the subject.
