hello to all on the buy side...
i just graduated in may from stern undergrad.
i decided to take a job with a small asset management shop as an equity analyst. my company has only 4 bn AUM.
anyways...i feel like i am being underpaid.
what is the average salary of an analyst in this industry?
here is what i do to clarify my current position
here is what i do in no particular order.
1. first...i am responsible for x number of accts where...i would structure the ports according to the cio and head of research decides.
2. talk to sales equity teams and the analyst covering the secs. held by firm.
3. company research for future investments
--modeling...forecasting...compare with models of big banks.
4. sit in on conferences...attend luncheons.
5. READ READ READ!
please help...i wanna be ready for my review and bargain
