I know this is not the correct message board, but I couldnt find a s&t message board, so does anyone know anything about Refco Trading Servics, Refco's proprietary arm? What is the pay structure, any info on the firm itself besides what is on the website?

I've been working at RTS for the better part of a year. They pay you minimum wage for the first three months and then 1200/ month from that point on untill you are able to turn profitable. Once you are profitable you will recieve 50% of your net profits. Some things to keep in mind however. First off is that very, very few traders in Chicago are profitable however (definitely <10%). Also there is a very high turnover ratio. And expenses definitely build until you trade large enough size. Its a great opportunity if (and this is a tremendous if) you can make money. Also remember, that working for a prop firm will give you little marketable experience for any other job.
