want to stay in IM, an MBA is not necessary. As for you career choice, yes a bigger firm will be better on your CV but the content of the job may be better at the smaller firm. You will probably get responsabilies faster. I don't think there is a right or wrong decsion here, it's pretty much how you feel about the firm and its people.
