I don't mean to be harsh, but the culture at the time I knew the firm was awful. I don't have time to go into all of the specifics; but take my word for it, it wasn't a good place to work. It appears from what the other poster said that things haven't changed. The fact that you'll often see job postings there should tell you something about their turnover.
Obviously though, you are truly interested in working there. If that's the case, then, by all means, pursue it. However, if you find out later that the culture sucks, don't say you weren't warned. |

i used to read these message boards a few years ago (as an mba student from a top 10 b-school), & spontaneously decided to do a search on my own company (wilshire associates) on a late friday afternoon.
i don't know why desparado9 has a grudge against the firm, but i would like to set the record straight. wilshire, like most companies, will be a good fit for some and a poor fit for others. turnover is common at all companies, and to use turnover as a reason for a firm being "awful" or having a culture that "sucks" is very naive.
rather than go into a long dialogue on the type of person that can have a successful and fulfilling career at wilshire, all i will advise to those interested in working here is to do your own due diligence rather than rely on the advice of people like desparado9, who doesn't have the "time to go into all the specifics" and to "take [his] word."
for me and many of my colleages, wilshire has been a pleasant surprise and most of us are extremely happy with the opportunities that exist within the firm. if you are interested in any of the opportunities posted on the website or other job websites (monster, monstertrak), then apply.
i think these message boards can be a valuable source of information. but it is disappointing to see people like desparado9 make disparaging statements without having any real knowledge.
