Message: Have an offer to do risk/quant type work at a hedge fund next year. It's a large fund (3 bill, one fund) that's been around for a while and has a good track record. Offer was good but not incredible (65k bas, 10k signing, end of year based on fund performance). Any input on whether this is something I should snap up? Really liked the place, and the partner I'd be working with is very knowledgable and a good guy, but I'm worried about my prospects if the fund for some reason dissolved. It's either this, or I'd do fixed income trading or derivative trading at an ibank... Any input?
