In Reply To: Hello! Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated! I live in South Africa and am considering moving to new york for a year for the experience. i am 29, a qualified actuary and my work experience includes strategy consulting at Accenture and multi-manager investment management (manager selection and portfolio construction) at one of SA's largest insurance companies. I am currently assistant to the CEO of the whole insurance group. I would like to work for a company with young people and a relaxed but hard-working atmosphere but reading these posts, a lot of I-banking/investment management jobs seem to involve gruelling hours. This is something i DO NOT want to get involved in - i wouldnt experience NYC if i spent my life at the office (something i can do in SA if i wished!). So PLEASE HELP - i know very little of companies and jobs in NYC if you are willing/able to help me you can also write to me on ivan_missankov@hotmail.com - thanks!
