I am a second year business student at a good-name (not targetted) school, currently in the process of job search. I am considering Equity Research Associate positions (both sell-side and buy-side). I have had a year of IM experience, a year of accounting experience and a full-time Equity Research internship at a small local shop. My last internship, however, was at an economic consulting firm, dealing with macro modeling and forecasting. Although I beleive it was a valuable experience, I am affraid it kind of dillutes the "focus" path on my resume. Should I just leave this last experience out? Would that help or hurt?
Also, would a PE internship have a more beneficial impact for lending a job in ER?
All suggestions are highly appreciated.
