I was interviewing for an analyst position with one of the bulge bracket IB firms. They flew me out to NYC from California where I met with a managing director. We went over my educational background, work experience and why I wanted to work for his firm. Then the guy askes me what I though f the girl in human resources. I said she was pleasant enough and seemed to set up my interview just fine. Then this guy starts telling me how truly stupid she is and the only reason she has a job there is because she spends more time sucking than a Hoover vacuum. Unreal, I couldn't believe it. He then tells me that the firm only hires assistants that look like they will put out for the analysts and associates. I really didn't know how to react to this guy. I thought he was pulling something to see how I would react. So I told him that I felt that personal relationships were best off left at home and if I wanted to chase girls I could do that anywhere, but that I came to NYC to work at the best IB firm and on the biggest deals. Then this guy starts telling me that since I'm from California, I'm probably a fag and should apply at the San Francisco office.
I ended up taking the job and actually worked with this guy. He wasn't so bad, but every time a bunch of us would go out, he'd lie about all the girls he's been with. The problem was that he actually had a wife and she was the biggest slut I'd ever met. One night he was out of town and his wife aked if she could go out with myself and a couple of the other analysts. We said sure, and before I knew it two of us were tag teaming this guys wife. I tell every new analyst to meet this guys wife now. She's been with half of the class of 1999. |
