I have received my starting pack for my job as an analyst with GS this summer. I will be working in London but am coming to Ny for training. They have included a H-1 visa form. What is this and do I need to fill it in if I am only in NY for the training ? Thanks |

To train in NYC and work in London you do not need and H1B visa. YOu need an H3 training visa or a J1. There is no way that you will get an H1 issued this late in the cycle - they are capped by Congress and this year's quota is full. Unless you can bring about an act of Congress, tell GS that you need the H3 or J1.
