Why is everyone so worried about meeting CEOs and CFOs? You think after you meet them, you'll become best friends and hangout? Or they'll call you one day out of the blue and offer you their position at their company?
IB is not the place to be if you want to be CEO or CFO of a major company; you need to work for that company. Its good for finance positions obviously in a variety of financial firms (investment management, LBO's etc) but not for CEO or CFO positions. Now I know some dipshit can point to one or two exceptions but that doesn't mean anything overall.
I'm in M&A and the hours suck big time by the way. |

how bad are your hours in m&a? I'm an analyst in a small boutique, and they told me they don't work every weekend; however, the salary is below market by a little. What firm are you working for? can you describe a sample day/week for me? thanks alot..
