Are we talking a nice 2 bedroom or an average one? Don't mean to sound stuck up (but it's going to come across that way) but I am used to fairly nice residential surroundings - new bathrooms, kitchen, hardwood floors, fairly spacious. I know that the Upper East Side is cheaper than other areas, so how much would a nice *affordable* place be?
Also, with the $45K base (my firm hasn't announced an increase yet) how much can you afford to pay in rent with enough leftover for other expenses (phone, electricity, food, etc) and enough for going out (clubs, movies)? Thanks.
