everything he has said is exactly right--I am starting in a small m&a boutique in July and I can already tell that I will be traveling and taking on much responsibility. Also a problem- I'm making less than the BB market, but it's still very competitive pay with a nice 70-80% of salary bonus. And, you won't be working all weekend long either.. |

unless you work at lazard or wp (among boutiques), people tend to think you are 2nd tier. lazard and wp have excellent b-school placement. plus they pay more than the street average.
