I'm going to start as an analyst in a small m&a boutique that is relatively unknown to the BB firms. I'm expected to be promoted within 2 yrs. to associate. I want to know if it could be possible to lateral into a 3rd yr. analyst spot or an associate spot at a BB firm (doesn't have to be in top 5, but top 10)???
