Actually, I posted the message right before captain's last one about the rich people, I just forgot to sign Frat boy.
Basically, if you're going to make a lot of money in almost anything you have to be atleast a decent salesman with some social skills, this is especially true in IB and S&T. Who brings in the money is who gets paid the big bucks. Guys in research with a few noticeable exceptions don't get as much as in IB.
You have to be able communicate and connect with all sorts of personalities. If you don't like frat boy mentality you're fucked; vica versa, if i don't get along with computer "nerds" or artsy fartsy types, i'm fucked too.
The one thing I left out in the previous thread is the golf course. You'll be there alot too. Keep in mind though if you're an analyst or associate this is all sort of irrelevant for a few years. You might go to meetings with these guys but I doubt you'll socialize much with them for a while.
