I seriosuly want to become a real estate investment banker. its the only job i would enjoy. do i have any chances coming from Brauch i really dont care about whether its a bb firm or small boutique specializing in real estate. i just want to get inot the business. i am tremendously hungry. i have a very strong resume. i own a mechanic shop and hirted employess and a manager to mange this company wiht a huge profit. i have various real estate licensing, i have experiecne at a brokerage and law firm. realistically what are my chance sto obtaining employment at a bb or boutiqe?
Message: I am a native New Yorker and view Baruch as a respectable school. You'll have to bust your ass, but you can get into analyst jobs outta there. I know Baruch grads at SSB for example. You might have to settle for an IB position outside of real estate, but that might be useful...then check out MBA programs...also the London School of Economics has a 1yr masters in Real Estate Finance if that is a burning desire of yours...since you're in NYC already. Spend time calling and setting up interviews if possible...meet some people during recruiting events and hound HR...people will holler at you because you have a 4.0 even if they aint heard of Baruch...good luck
