no way. JPM is well ahead of MSDW, ML, DB, CSFB, SSB. DB and SSB are 4th tier firms. JPM and GS #1. Then MSDW, ML and CSFB. JP Morgan was the first pioneer to revolutionize high finance over 100 years ago. God bless his soul. The firm created MSDW too. JPM is number one, always and forever. If JP Morgan was still alive, I would blow him silly! |

I'll admit Im a student here procrastinating before an exam on late 19th Century US Economic History and the emergence of capitalism...wow. JP Morgan was hot in Grover Cleveland's day, but nowadays, to mention it in the same IB breath as GS, MSDW, ML, CSFB, DB and SSB is a f@$king joke. C'mon, in all seriousness, the lack like everything it takes to be a top bank by all accounts. From a young person's perspective, working at a BB upon graduation in a few weeks, JPM could not even spit game that a clueless college senior would attempt to swallow as even half-truths. Not to say they were a bad place. But each of the aforementioned places provided more convincing evidence proving they were near the top of the IB Food Chain...JPM did so only in Derivatives and Emerging Markets...they pailed in all other areas of IB...
