In Reply To: Hello. I'm a junior interested in banking next year and I would like to know how to negotiate taking a year off before the analyst training program begins. Is this possible? If you were extended an offer and told them about your plans to take a year off, would most/any banks accept it? I'm deeply worried that if I do not take a year off after college, I won't get to experience some important things in my life...and the track from 2/3yr analyst/MBA/associate/VP doesn't leave enough time for these things. I would really appreciate any input (tirades welcome too). I know this topic hasn't been discussed here often, as I've been a faithful reader for some months now...again, thanks. James
Message: you're very lost, indeed. Come on now, if you want to be in I-BANKING, then stop the Hollywood bull-shit...ok. work every day and all day or be a flake and get out now- we don't need more struggling actors in this world, but go ahead- do what makes you soooo happy..
