UConn sucks. The reason why few (or no) IBs recruit from UConn is that few do well in the IBs. That's one reason why IBs focus on Ivy schools. The Ivy recruits throughout the years have done well and been promoted in the firms. If you look at the top people in these firms, most of them come from Ivy. They want to recruit where they can get the best success rate and the best chance of reaching that is by recruiting where you have seen the greatest past success. If UConn was great, they would hire more from there. If it isn't good (and it isn't), no one will hire from there. |

Most of the top people are Ivy, because banks only recruit at Ivy's! If you start with 100 Ivy's and 5 state schoolers, odds are more Ivy's will progress through the ranks.
