In Reply To: I was assuming that he meant he was planning on staying in the US. Internationally, DLJ is building a international presence. But lacks one. Warburg is not an international powerhouse. Can you honestly say that it does as much business as Goldman, Morgan or Merril. You get real. Also look at the league tables. US and international business combined. DLJ is ranked #4 is quarter in completed transactions. Its US business more than makes up for its lack of international presence. To the point it still blows past Warburg in almost every catagory from a revenue point of view.
Message: Hi, It's tiring to hear of the league tables. Although they entitle some firms to bragging rights to a certain extent- they do not speak for the quality and class of the people at the respective firms. For example, Lehman and Chase are high on certain rankings but I have yet to meet someone that I like and consider worldly and intelligent and attractive at either...
