working at a boutique straight out of school, in my opnion, is actually much better than woring at a bulge bracket. you actualy get exposure to things apart from pitch books. and, you can advance a lot quicker. In the end, your experience makes you much more desirable. True, boutiques usually don't work with companies that are household names, but a transaction for a $300 mm company involves the same steps as a transaction for a $30 bn company. You can apply the knowledge you gain at any bank you wish. Trust me, I work for a boutique and get calls from BBs all the time. |
