Lazard has recently announced plans to let employees coinvest in deals. This includes all employees of the firm. On top of current bonuses, employees may receive points (percentage ownership) in these vehicles. Employees making at least $150k will be able to invest their own money and borrow 3-1 from a credit facility with only 50% recourse.
This should help Lazard retain and attract its top talent. Rather a pleasant surprise, I think most people expected it to be slower to move/react on this.
