I am interested in getting into IB from having spent the last 2 years in IT consulting. My most recent big assignment was co-writing a Year 2000 methodology and coordinating the respective project for a very large pharmaceuticals company in the UK. Previous to this (from the time I graduated) I ran my own company in Mayfair London specialising in media. Admittedly a rather unconventional work history, however, at least its not boring or predictable.
How do I make the switch from consulting to a high or low key banking firm as an analyst? And what is the best angle to take?
PS: I have dual British & American citizenship.
