Message: greetings, i have been trolling this website for the better part of a month and if there's one thing that i have learned, it's that i have a lot of learning to do. So it is with this in mind that i seek some advice from all of you established professionals. I graduate next spring from a small but respectable college in rochester, NY and I want to relocate to the Atlanta area to seek a job in IB. I'm in the process of trying top find an internship that would be conducive to landing a job as an analyst in Atlanta and would like some advice on how to do so. If there are any Atlantans out there that could provide any insight into the IB climate down there I would humbly appreciate it but i welcome any advice on how to approach the beginning on my career path. I understand the basics of IB but would appreciate some advice/tips on how to get my foot in the door from those who have came before me. While I'm not graduating from an Ivy League school, I do bring to the table a strong interest in the financial markets, a solid work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed in this challenging field. I thank you in advance for any and all responses.
