To be honest! I don't think people at GS are very smart. I am from one of the top UK universities and I've got lots of friends(with lower second class honour, poor work experiences and not bright) got offers from this firm. People hired by McKinsey are of much higher quality. |

all the people here who have the GOD complex think their firm hires the best people. the firms hire people just like them and they just like stroking their egos. Culture = 10,000 like minded monkeys. just for the record i'm from a top three ivy, near 1600 sat, and honors and have all those bull shit paper stats. i turned down mckinsey and didn'g give gs the time of day. why? because of people like you! my friends who are going to gs and mckinsey are on the whole a very good lot but individually, they aren't any more impressive than the top people at other firms. (however, i do agree that on average, the gs and mckinsey people are better than the second tier shops). anyhow, stop deluding yourselves into superiority. people might actually be able to stand being around you.
