My friend told me his buddy had to leave Thanksgiving dinner to go back to work at DLJ. Any DLJer's want to tell us how great it is? It sounds like it sucks. It is prestigious and lucrative though, I'll give you that. And isn't that what Investment Banking is all about? |

DLJ is full of bankers that typify the experience I had there: I was an outstanding Analyst, and pulled 100 hour-weeks on a consistent basis, but that did not stop my Associates from calling me into the office at 7 AM on a weekend after 2 all-nighters to *hit the print button on my PC* for a doc that was not needed for another 3 days. They knew where the files were, but felt it was too lowly for them to do Analyst-level work. I left that hellhole in less than a year for a boutique, getting similar pay but more responsibility and a lot less BS.
