Do I-banks hire 30+ associates?
This is a question that has been troubling me for a long time. Some people say yes while others say no. The Vault's newsletter this week has an article on I-banking trends. The article seems to suggest that I-banks don't hire 30+ associates. Is this true?
The reason why I am asking the question is because I am considering a career change (from Big 5 accountant to banker). I understand that an MBA is basically a must. And by the time I graduate from B-school, I will be over 30. If I-banks don't hire an MBA grad over 30 for an associate position, do I have a chance going in as a CPA under 30?
