Hi, I would like to get some suggestions regarding housing in the NYC suburbs:
I will be working as an IB analyst next year in downtown Manhanttan, and currently I have this friend who is offering me an apartment in White Plains (about 30 minutes from downtown, and 1-hour commute) for $400? It's very cheap but I am not so sure if I want to spend two hours commuting each day, plus the i-banking job will require me to work long hours. However, the rent IS pretty cheap and I am really price sensitive and would like to save as much money on rent as possible, even at the expense of commuting time on the subway.
Anyone have any suggestions??? Please...!
