I would really appreciate some insight. I have my undergrad (Finance) and my CPA. I've been working mainly in the investment industry for the past 5 years (Merrill as a Sales Asst) and now an investment advisor. I'm taking my CFA as well, writing Level 1 in June. I would like to relocate to NYC and work with a Wall Street Firm as an analyst. I don't where if my qualifications would be best suited for Investment Banking or Investment Management. Also, is one buy-side and the other sell? I am setting up interviews in NY in 3 weeks (so far, all IBs)and am not sure if I should try the buy-side. Anyone have similar qualifications and experiences with both fields??
