Does anyone get into a coinvestment plan? Or do you know which companies offer it? I heard that you can make big bucks out of it. Please give me all details. If you are a DLJ employee, please advise the merchant banking plan that you have. I heard it is a great plan since the leverage is 8:1 (for real?) |

To answer your question. I just interviewed with DLJ's private placements group two weeks ago. The major perk was their fringe benefit structure which allows participation in private equity deals. I think the leverage factor is more like 3:1 or 4:1. One thing you must keep in mind is that these benefits don't become available right away and also firms use them to lock up employees because of vesting rights.
