In Reply To: I read in these message boards somewhere that a lot of IB analysts leave the firm after the 1st year to take positions elsewhere. How is that possible? Does that mean that those analysts that leave are still sending out resumes to other companies while at work, or are they approached by headhunters? Exactly, how does someone land a job elsewhere while still working for a company?
Message: It's nearly impossible to land a job while still working for a company. Employers like to see that you are unemployed and have been out of a job for a year and a half. If you are in the position of having to find another job while already working the best way is to use the company's fax machine to send out your resume, conduct phone interviews from your desk, and surf the internet job sites from your office computer. Happy Hunting!
