How easy/hard is it to break into IB when you started a career in a completely different field? I'm working towards my MSC in Finance, but I have been told that no one will even look at my resume until I finished my degree since I have a BS in Marketing. Any advice?

it's as easy or as hard as you make it. remember, all you have to do is convince someone that you are capable of doing the job and that you will be better at it then some other guy who also wants to do it. good grades, good school, good personality help. so do contacts, connections, and good old fashioned schmoozing. figure it out.
