In Reply To: $25-$30K is pretty good for an associate. I wouldn't be at all disappointed with that! After your first year, you will do much better, maybe even $50K. Of course, you've heard about I-bankers raking in the money down the road. Well, its all true! After 5-10 years of hard work, you SHOULD break in to 6 figures! Good luck!
Message: I am totally confused. Even though I am not a banker, I have been researching about this industry. 1st year associates make around $135K (signing + base + guaranteed bonus) not $30K you are talking about! Just look at the other topic "Associate Compensation". Am I missing something here??
