In Reply To: It was my understanding that first year investment banking associate compensation (the fixed portion) was relatively standard across banks: $25K signing bonus, $80K base, $30K stub year bonus. However, an acquaintance working for Goldman indicated that their package was $5K more across the board ($30K, $85K, $35K). Is this the case? If so, will the other banks match?
Message: I heard the same thing regarding Goldman's 1st year IB associate compensation package---30k,85k,35k. I know for a fact that Morgan Stanley, CSFB, and DLJ have offered the 25k,80k,30k package, but I don't know if they will match. Anyone else know?
