First of all, you need to calm down. I am worried about anyone desperate to get advice from an anonymous message board. I think it is much more important to get advice from your family, friends of the family, adults who you know etc. You should also think about why you want to do Investment Banking so badly. I'm an analyst right now butI had no clue that was what I wanted to do until my junior year of college. If there is any one person who inspires or pushes you along that path, talk to them. Their advice will be infinitely more valuable.
Second of all, I wouldn't even think about anything but UT. I didn't go there but I see tons of people on the Street from there with lots of majors. They did get very good grades though (whereas a 3.2 from Wharton, MIT, JHU etc. will get through, you'll need a 3.8 plus at UT). All the same, Texas is very well represented at all the top firms, whereas Cal Poly SLO is not. You will find it extremely difficult to get a job in Investment Bnaking from there. And if you don't lkike Econ, major in English, Math, Physics, History, Engineering, whatever you want to... just get top grades.
