No question- Houlihan Lokey is at the top of middle market M&A advisory, but they don't do any underwriting. Where is the best place to go if you want to work on smaller IPO deals? |

What is the difference between the M&A Advisory work that a firm like HLHZ does compared to the work that an M&A group at a BB like MSDW does? Is there a significant difference or is it just in terms clients, quality, & volume? I suspect there's a real difference and am wondering if anyone could tell me what it is.
