What are the best real estate bulge brackets and boutiques with the most prestige! What are they looking for as analysts-please give detailed qualifications. Do they want a 4.0 point nerd from Swathmore or someone that is moren pragmatic,entrepeneural and can charm clients for their millions of dollars? Why so many Indians (from India not Sioux) in Investmentment Banking? Be candid with your opinions! |

to answer your two unrelated questions:
Painewebber has a great Real Estate Investment Banking division. It's actually a separate entity from the firms IBanking division. I don't know about other firms, but I'm guessing Goldman has a pretty solid real estate practice as well.
As for Indians: A lot of Indians either end up in Tech or Finance related fields, since they come from educational backgrounds that emphasize analytical and quant skills.
