I will be a new analyst at Banc of America Securities and was wondering if anyone has info on the best groups to work in and the general feel of people in those groups (NYC).

Very divergent depending on your group.
And if yer group is M&A, it's even more diverse!

Well, not that bad :)
Some of the folks are actually nice. Lotsa kowtowing to MD's, at least what I saw. At other institutions it wasn't as bad. Then again, it all depends on yer department head.
