In Reply To: I am a CPA working in a Big 5 firm as a tax manager. I am considering making the move to investment banking. I understand that I need to go thru B-school. Assuming that I get into one of the top B-school (e.g. Wharton), how much can I expect to make as an associate in one of top I banks? What is my earning potential as an I banker ten years down the road (say from associate to VP to MD)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Message: Dude, you'll make way more as a first year associate than as a manager. By the time you're third year you'll make way more than a partner. Ten years down the line, as an MD you'll make in the millions.
