I totally agree with you two guys and makes me very happy to see that my beliefs are not totally fucked up (maybe I am really getting too old for this shit)! It is really an expensive price that you have to pay, but if you are willing to put up with this for some time, the reward can be great (I am not talking only about money here, I am talking about knowledge, excitment, etc.). Well said guys !!!
As far as I can tell you, Ellen, don't bother replying to me or to the other lazy analysts that supported your silly words - you know, Ellen, another caveat of IB is that we have very few women and when someone comes out saying that does not work too much, that has a personal life and some spare time . . . Well I guess that you know the rest . . . |

If you are not doing it for the money why bother? Knowledge is fine, but it must lead to something - namely money. The singular reason i am heading to IB is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. Why would anyone work 90-100 hours a week for anything less. I expect to make the sacrifices such that my family will be better for it in the long (read as more money, more options, more freedom). IS MY PERSPECTIVE COMPLETELY FUCKED? If so please advise me accordingly.
